How do I book?
To secure your date with me, I require a £150 deposit for half coverage or £200 deposit for a full day and a contract to be signed.
Do you charge extra for travel?
For weddings I cover up to a 50-mile radius from Southport and for Love Shoots and portraits, I cover up to a 25-mile radius before a small surcharge is applied.
Do you require accommodation?
I will happily drive up to two hours before a small accommodation fee is charged, especially if I'm with you all day.
Do we need to feed you?
Of course not, it is not required at all but if you feel you would like to provide with a meal then it would be greatly appreciated. I will be happy with a small vegetarian meal in the bar area whilst I catch up with some work.
Are you insured?
Yes, I certainly am. I am insured with public liability insurance and indemnity for your peace of mind.
How long will my photos take?
All your photos will be with you between 6-8 weeks, if its a quiet time of year it may take a little less but I will always keep you posted.
How many photos will I receive?
Every wedding is completely different so it's difficult to provide every couple with an exact figure. If I'm with you all day you can expect anything from 350-700 images.
When do I need to pay the outstanding balance?
The outstanding balance will be due 4 weeks prior to your wedding.
Do you accept payment plans?
Of course, planning a wedding can be stressful enough so don't let the stress of paying if off be an issue. Please contact me with what is manageable for you and we can go from there.
What is a Love Shoot?
A Love Shoot is also known as an engagement shoot and is a great way to have a bit of practice in front of the lens, especially if you haven’t had a shoot before. It's also a fab idea if you want to personalise your wedding stationary and use any images from your shoot on your special day.
What if you are ill on the day?
Touch wood (touch my head and the cabinet next to me), I will not need to find cover but I am fortunate to know many lovely wedding photographers that would more than help cover me if required.
Do you shoot weddings abroad?
Yeah! If you are getting married abroad please do not be put off thinking it will cost more to hire me from the UK. Please get in contact with as many details of your special day and I can provide you with a quote.
What is the venue visit for?
This is a perfect time to catch up on all your wedding plans and go through all timings and the schedule of the day. It is also a great opportunity to plot out what parts of the venue will be great for family and intimate shots. However a venue visit isn't always necessary especially if I have shot several weddings the venue before.
What do I wear on my Love Shoot?
Comfort is key! Having your photograph taken can be nerve racking enough so make sure your comfortable during your shoot. I want you to be focusing on each other and having lots of fun, not worrying about your clothes. I always encourage wearing something with colour to make your photos pop. Try to avoid wearing tops with huge logos, brands and crazy patterns.
Before your Love Shoot we will decide on a location together and your footwear should suit the location. If we are going to be walking through the woods or big open fields, I don't think heels will be the way forward.
