Newborn Studio Shoot Information

Welcome to our Newborn Studio! We’re excited to help you capture those precious first moments of your little one. Here’s everything you need to know to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for both you and your baby.

How to Get to the Studio

Our studio is located at 5 Westminster Chambers, 106 Lord Street, Southport. This is a shared office space, and we’re on the 1st floor. If you’re unfamiliar with the area, here’s how to get there:

• Address: 5 Westminster Chambers, 106 Lord Street, Southport

• Directions: If you’re coming from Lord Street, look for Westminster Chambers, a period building located between The Vincent Hotel and Junes the florist.

Once you arrive, please press the labelled buzzer to gain access to the building, please note there are 2 steps to the entrance of the building. I will come down to meet you to help operate the lift (if you've bought the pram). The lift is very small and can only fit a small pram/push chair and one adult. If you can bring the baby in just the car seat or carrier this will be more ideal.

Parking Near the Studio

There are several parking options available nearby:

• Lord Street Car Park: A short walk from the studio.

• B&M Car Park: Located just a little further down the road (approx. 6 min walk), offering parking at 50p per hour.

Please allow a little extra time for parking to ensure you’re not rushed before the session starts.

Shoot Duration & Preparation

Our newborn shoots are baby-led to ensure a calm and stress-free experience for your little one. The session typically lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours, depending on your baby’s needs and comfort.

To help the session go as smoothly as possible, please make sure your baby is fed and has had their nappy changed before arriving. There are no changing facilities on site but you are welcome to change baby within the studio. There are toilets on site.

Studio Guidelines

For the comfort of your newborn and the other office users (since the space is shared), only parents and the newborn baby will be allowed in the studio at this time. Unfortunately, sibling and parent shoots are not available due to space and storage limitations.

What to Bring

To ensure the shoot is stress-free, we kindly ask you to bring the following items:

• Nappy bag: Ensure you have all the essentials, including wipes, nappies, and any items needed for baby care during the shoot.

• Spare change of clothes: Babies are unpredictable, and nappy explosions can happen. A change of clothes will help ensure the shoot stays smooth and comfortable.

• Plain all-in-ones: If possible, please dress your baby in a plain all-in-one before arriving. This ensures the focus is on your little one during the shoot. Don’t forget to bring a spare just in case!

• Personal accessories: If you have any tiny teddy bears, blankets, or little accessories you’d like to incorporate in the shoot, feel free to bring them along. I will do my best to include them in the session.

You are welcome to bring some drinks and snacks with you too but I do have coffee, water and biscuits in the office.

I can’t wait to meet your little one! If you have any questions or concerns prior to your session, feel free to get in touch.

See you soon!
