The Titanic, Liverpool Wedding Photography

So much love & lots of laughter, mixed with the rich history of Liverpool came together beautifully for Tom and Peter’s unforgettable wedding at the iconic Titanic Hotel this past October. Their special day was a celebration of their love, surrounded by family and friends in one of the city’s most atmospheric venues. From the industrial backdrop of the hotel to the emotional exchange of vows, every moment was steeped in colour & fun. In this blog, I’ll take you through the highlights of their day, capturing the heartfelt glances, joyful celebrations, and all the details. Get ready to be inspired by Tom & Peter's autumnal, city wedding and see what they have to say about their special day.

What made you choose your wedding venue?

"We loved that the Rum Warehouse has an industrial feel to it and that it was a blank canvas for us to make our own. As soon as we visited the wedding fair, we knew that was our venue. It also catered for our larger guest list of approx 140 day guests and 200+ in the evening. "

Tell me about your theme, colours and/or style for the day.

"With our wedding being in October, we wanted to embrace the autumnal theme. We wanted to use the autumn colours of orange, green, maroon and browns whilst including pumpkins/squashes. We also decided we didn’t want any fresh flowers and our venue dressers were incredible and only used preserved leaves. Sweetpea and Ivy really listened to us and did everything we wanted and more."

What was your favourite moments/memories of the day?

"It’s so difficult to pick a particular moment of the day. We made sure we took time to ourselves to stand at the sidelines and just observe our guests enjoying themselves. That is probably my favourite part and what we love about our photos. It was important to us for our guests to enjoy themselves just as much as we did. Knowing that all those months of planning was worth it."

Any tips or advice for future couples planning their special day?

"Take that time for yourselves. Whether it’s in a different room or just stood at the side to take it all and take the mental snapshot. If you have the opportunity during the meal, take time to go around each table to speak to the guests. It was a perfect opportunity to us to see everyone properly before the evening guests arrived."

What made you choose Lynette Matthews Photography?

From the moment we met Lynette, we knew she was the photographer for us. She greeted us with a smile and listened to us. It didn’t feel like she was trying to sell us her business, she wanted to be part of our exciting and special day. Other photographers just handed us a book and didn’t try speak to us. Her energy really drew us in. We love her style of photography, capturing the candid moments so beautifully. She made up feel so comfortable throughout the day, directing our “posed” photos in a way to make us feel settled.
