There’s something magical about a spring wedding (possibly, because the start of wedding season and I'm excited to be back behind the camera after the winter period), the leaves are starting to sprout on the trees, the colours are slowing appearing from the buds of flowers and the longer days are starting to appear.

Hannah & Kieron's special day at the River Barn in Poulton-le-Fylde provided the perfect backdrop for a truly unforgettable day this March. Nestled in the heart of Lancashire’s countryside, the rustic charm of this venue came alive with the warmth of early spring sunshine.

Every detail of Hannah & Kieron's wedding was brimming with laughter and personality. Join us as we look back at the highlights of this fun filled day at The River Barn.

Hannah & Kieron, thank you so much for having me, I had so much fun with you guys.

What made you choose The River Barn?

"By the time we arranged to view The River Barn, we’d seen several other venues that just didn’t wow us and we were feeling a bit fed up with the search! I saw The River Barn on Instagram and the first time we visited, even though it was nowhere near ready at this point, we both got such a good feeling and knew it was the one. It was so exciting initially seeing what it was going to look like from artist impressions to watching it turn into a beautiful place! I knew I wanted a barn style vibe but nothing too rustic and The River Barn with all of its gorgeous decor completed by Red Floral gave it the touch of glam I was after! "

Tell me about your theme, colours and/or style for the day.

"So initially I’d said no pinks and wanted to just go with neutrals and golds, but this soon changed! As soon as the first bit of pink was agreed on for the bridesmaid dresses, the rest was history! I absolutely love gold and knew this would add the glam vibes to the day and complimented the pink really well! Our living room is also full of pink and gold, so it was only right really! I always find myself liking different themes but somehow manage to bring them all together, more is more for me! I am obsessed with stars as you can probably tell by my dress, so they had to feature a little plus our absolute favourite thing, cocktails so the table plan and names suited us perfectly."

What was your favourite moments/memories of the day?

"It is sooooo hard to pick a favourite moment, it was amazing from start to finish! I think for us, we loved the ceremony part the most, it was so very special, and we felt the love in the room! I wouldn’t change a thing about our day, we were so lucky to have the sunshine too which made it even better!"

Any tips or advice for future couples planning their special day?

"Don’t stress, everything will fall into place and the most important part of the day is about you as a couple! Get the big things booked first but don’t feel like you have to make final decisions about flowers etc, as long as you have your suppliers sorted you can make changes nearer the time of the day! Try and embrace the day as much as you can, it absolutely flies by! Oh and maybe don’t get too drunk that you forget how you got to bed! 😂"

"I don’t even have the words to sum up Lynette, what a beautiful person inside and out! I first met Lynette at a wedding open day and remember her saying to me that you want to pick a photographer that you like as you’re spending your whole day with them. That really stuck with me and I got such a good vibe from Lynette, the choice was easy! We met Lynette for an engagement shoot just a few weeks before the big day, we had no idea what to expect but Lynette made it so much fun and we had the best time! We knew from that moment we had picked a good one and someone that fit with us as a couple, a bit silly and don’t take ourselves too seriously! Lynette made everything so easy on the big day and was on hand to help with making sure my hair was on point, listening to the odd moan or two and being the best hype woman! The photos are just incredible and capture the happiness of the entire day. We cannot thank her enough ❤️"
