The River Barn Wedding Photography

2023 was a year filled with stunning venues, some familiar and some new, the River Barn was a new venue for me and I instantly fell in love with it's cascading greenery, rustic features and it's perfect little photo spots.

Rayann & Ryan's twilight wedding took place in October and even though it rained the majority of the day, it didn't stop them from embracing every moment of the day. It also helped that The River Barn has plenty of great backdrops, inside and out for every photo opportunity.

Here is what they had to say about their fabulous day...

What made you choose The River Barn?

We really loved the whole look of the venue it was perfect as an empty room and that it was exclusive just to us! We also liked the fact that we could have so many people to stay over!

Tell me about your theme, colours and/or style for the day.

We wanted to go with colours that you would associate with the time of year so we decided on burnt orange. I also knew that I wanted to go a little bit boho with our theme so dried grasses for the flowers where perfect!

What was your favourite moments/memories of the day?

Ryan said his favourite part of the wedding was as soon he saw me at the top of the aisle. I would say that my favourite part of the wedding was seeing how emotional my dad was and everyone so happy to be at the wedding. Also when Ellis was being cheeky in the ceremony made me relax a lot more!

Any tips or advice for future couples planning their special day?

Plan your day for you and not to please everyone else! Do not worry about all the silly little things because none of it matters as long as you are happy on the day!

A few words about Lynette Matthews Photography

I bumped into Lynette at a wedding show before I had a date at the venue I didn’t have one thing planned for our wedding but as soon as I had one little conversation with her I remember walking out of the show and saying to my friend she will be my photographer because of how lovely she was! On our wedding day she was absolutely everything we needed an more! Extremely professional, Helpful, kind, calm, extremely organised and made everyone feel so comfortable! Lynette was not worried about getting stuck in, finding the members of the family that we needed and getting the perfect pictures we will treasure forever! I could not speak any more highly of her!
